So You're Switching to Natural Deodorant Update

A month ago I decided to switch to natural deodorant. For clarity sake I think the term should be cleaner. There are still chemicals in these deodorants but not half as much as your favorite antiperspirant.

The first brand, Schmidt, I used gave me a terrible breakout. I used it for weeks so it was a slow irritation but when it got bad it was baaad. I read the back of the package and boom right there on the label it says skin irritation was possible. That's the only issue I had with this brand of deodorant. It held up in all of my physical activities and I never once experienced odor.

With irritated underarms I found a new brand, Jason, it was even cleaner that the first brand and boasted the use of aloe vera. It immediately cleared up the rash the prior deodorant gave me but it did nothing for odor. I smelled like dirty dogs wrapped in soggy towels within a hour of wearing this brand. Like most people I took to social media for advice because Google is for people who don't mind doing their own work. My community came to my rescue and informed me switching to a cleaner deodorant would require a detox.

We've all heard of detoxing for weight loss but an armpit detox!?! Well it worked, I detoxed then applied the Jason brand deodorant before a 3 mile run in 86 degree heat and 92% humidity. My armpits did not reek!

I used Bentonite Clay and Apple Cider Vinegar like a mask. You need just enough of the clay powder to create the mixture for your underarms so that's about two spoon fulls. You need only a tiny bit of the ACV, just enough to get the consistency of a mud mask you'd use on your face. Wipe is on your under arms and let it sit there for 15 mins or until it's dry. I was instructed to repeat this once a week. Good luck

*Update*

I found the new brand can hold up during physical activity but it doesn't hold up 24hrs like it claims. At least it doesn't for me. I have since switched brands and if it works I'll update
