Because of the Internet: Robert Goodwins Family Forgives "Facebook Killer"

Steve Stephens is infamously known as the "Facebook Killer". There have been several articles on Stephens from his mental state to the events that may have lead him to executing Robert Godwin and streaming the live video on Facebook.

Who is Robert Godwin? He's a retired manufactured worker, self-taught mechanic, father of 10, and grandfather of 14. Godwin taught his children the value of hard work. He taught them how to love God and fear God, and how to forgive, his children said in a interview with  CNN-affiliate WJW .

Cleveland Police say Robert Godwin was chosen at random by Stephens who claims he did it because of ex-girlfriend Joy Lane.

Godwin's children expressed their forgiveness in their interview with Fox 8 Clevland

"Each one of us forgives the killer, the murderer," Godwin's daughter, Tonya Godwin-Baines said Monday. "We want to wrap our arms around him."

In a faint voice, another child, Robert Godwin Jr., said: "Steve, I forgive you ... I'm not happy [with] what you did but I forgive you," CNN-affiliate WJW reported.
