Because of the Internet: Jet Blue

Tale as old as time, you know, book a fly and possibly get thrown off. United Airlines can breath a sigh of relief because this time they are not the perps!

So here's the low down according to NY Daily News...The Burke family was flying to Las Vegas to celebrate mom Minta's 40th birthday. They brought a birthday cake along and stored it in the overhead bin. They say a flight attendant told them they couldn't store it there because it posed a "security threat," so they took it down and stored it under a seat. That's when they say a second flight attendant got involved and started arguing with the first.

The father, Cameron Burke, says he then got involved to try and calm things down but was told it didn't involve him. He claims the crew member told him he was being non-compliant and that's when he says he asked if the flight attendant had been drinking because "her behavior was not normal." Another attendant came along and asked him to leave the flight. Eventually, police were brought on board and all passengers were told to leave the plane so that the flight could be re-booked and re-boarded, but the Burke family was not allowed back on and they were give a full refund.

JetBlue tells a different story. It says, "(The customer) refused multiple requests from the crew to remove the items… became agitated, cursed and yelled at the crew, and made false accusations about a crew member’s fitness to fly." A cellphone video taken appears to show the family being very calm.

Now of course the internet isn't going to let this fly (no pun..maybe)
