New Safety Protocol for High School Football in Mobile County

The Mobile County Public School System has implemented changes in security for high school football, following Friday night's shooting at the LeFlore-Williamson game at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.

Walk-through metal detectors will be in use at all of the stadiums used by Mobile County schools - Ladd, Prichard, Trimmier, Baker, Blount, Bryant, Citronelle, Mary G. Montgomery and Theodore stadiums.

Wand metal detectors will also be used. There will be more uniformed officers and everyone working the game must have official name badges (even band chaperones).

There will only be 1 or 2 entrances to each stadium ...and you will not be allowed to leave and re-enter.

And just like with college football games, you will need to bring a clear bag instead of a purse.
