Tekashi 6ix9ine Scores Multi-Million Dollar Record Deal From Behind Bars

Tekashi 6ix9ine's future is looking pretty bright.

While the controversial rapper is currently behind bars, facing a 47-year prison sentence if convicted, he's still somehow making money moves. According to TMZ, a record label is banking on 6ix9ine getting out of prison sooner rather than later because it's investing a lot of money into the 23-year-old rapper's music career.

Sources told the outlet, "he just cut a record deal worth more than $10 million with his former label 10K Projects." The insider added, once he's a free man, he'll get the money in return for putting out two albums — one in English and one in Spanish.

News of 6ix9ine's lucrative deal comes just after a judge agreed to move up the "GUMMO" rapper's sentencing date. Tekashi will now face a judge on December 18, 2019, at 10 a.m. ET instead of his original sentence date of January 24, 2020.

As fans know, the "FEFE" rapper is optimistic about his release from prison, given the fact he acted as a government witness, testifying against his former crew, the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. Last month, TMZ reported that he's planning to reject going into the witness protection program if he becomes a free man so he can get back to his rap career, despite being labeled a rat.

Sources additionally told the outlet, Tekashi's "still itching to make new music, and believes he can pick up where he left off." He reportedly realizes the Nine Trey Bloods could be gunning for him, as well as others who are pissed he turned into a "rat" for the feds, but his safety plan for being out in the real world is simply "round-the-clock security."
