Rap Rising: Quavo Applies Pressure With His New Banger ‘Trappa Rappa’

Quavo is back with his first solo track of the year.

On Friday, February 21, the Atlanta native dropped his latest single "Trappa Rappa" via Quality Control. The brief track produced by Ben10k, Ojivolta and Twisco takes Quavo back to his trap roots. He brings out his inner Migos flow as reminds the people who brought them the dab and popularized Hannah Montana in Hip-Hop.

"We the first did the honey cone set with baguettis and mixed wit' enamel," he spits. "Who brought you the dab and who introduced you to Hannah Montana? (On God)/Who brought back Atlanta? (I'm tellin' ya)/Went global and all on your channels."

"Trappa Rappa" arrives after Quavo spent the past year serving up hits in various genres from pop to country. He teamed up with Lana Del Rey for their duet "Tough" and hit the rural areas of his home state with Teddy Swims and Luke Bryan on "Georgia Ways." Quavo also joined forces with El Alfa for their collaboration "Manigueta," and revamped Lenny Kravitz's classic hit on his previous single "FLY." His latest song is expected to appear on his forthcoming album which arrives later this year.
