YoungBoy Never Broke Again has reportedly been released from prison.

The news began to spread on social media on Monday, March 24, after several people within YB's orbit seemingly confirmed the rapper's release. Never Broke Again member OG 3Three posted a photo of them together and said YB is "finally back home." Media personalities like Akademiks also claimed the 25-year-old artist has been released and will either be transferred to a halfway house or go straight home. As of this report, his inmate information at FCI Talladega, the prison where he's been held, has not yet been updated. His release date is still listed as April 26, 2025.

YoungBoy Never Broke Again, born Kentrell Gaulden, was sentenced to 23 months in prison and five years of supervised release. YB pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm last September, which put an end to the legal drama that cast a shadow over his career since 2020. His plea deal came four years after he was first arrested with 15 others for possessing over a dozen guns at a music video shoot in Baton Rouge. In addition to his prison sentence, the rapper must also pay a $200,000 fine.

YB and his attorneys battled the firearm charges in court for over three years before the case was transferred to Salt Lake City, Utah, where the rapper lived on house arrest. NBA YoungBoy's case was transferred to Utah several months after he was arrested in connection to a statewide fraudulent prescription drug ring. He accepted a separate plea deal that allowed him to plead guilty to two counts of third-degree felony identity fraud, two counts of third-degree felony forgery, and six counts of misdemeanor unlawful pharmacy conduct. He pleaded no contest to the rest of the charges.

NBA YoungBoy reportedly had his release date set for July 27, but now it seems as though he's out even earlier than expected.
