Rick Ross celebrated the launch of his new line of designer bags by hosting his first-ever fashion show.
On Friday, August 8, the multifaceted artist debuted his first collaboration with Edition22 at a star-studded event powered by Lex Promotions at G7 Rooftop in Hollywood, Fla. Rozay's RR22 collection includes duffle bags, backpacks, sling bags, and more. The seasoned entrepreneur arrived at the event with his new boo, Jazzma Kendrick, by his side. The two were attached at the hip as they sipped on Belaire champagne together in their poolside VIP section during the fashion show.
"This is really too, too easy,” Ross told WPLG Local 10's Alexis Frazier. “You know what I’m saying, when two winning teams come together, usually at this level we make history. And this was what we wanted to do — we wanted to do it in the luggage space, and we know it’s gonna spill over into a lot of different things.”
The private event was filled with special guests who came to witness the debut of Ross' new collection of bags. Each bag is made of real leather and is available in an array of colors, including Phantom Black and Drift Blue. The bags are on sale now and range from $79 to $200.
During the fashion show, a slew of models and influencers rocked the assortment of bags. Actor and rapper Demetrius Flenory Jr. a.k.a. Lil Meech, designer and artist Made In Phlly, and more hit the runway to show off the bags for the first time. Other special guests like Ted Lucas of Slip-N-Slide Records, Eddie "eMIX" Hernández, Andrew Hattan, James Raymond Hattan and Etienne Boulay all came to support Ross.
“This is all a part of the culture,” Ross added. “Fashion style is just like graffitis, fat laces and Pumas and Adidas — to me it’s the same thing.”
Rick Ross hosted the fashion show on the 19th anniversary of his debut album, Port of Miami, and continued the celebration at LIV Nightclub. After the festivities, Ross also released his revered mixtape Rich Forever on streaming services for the first time.
