LeBron James has shared his thoughts about Drake after the two fell out amid the Canadian rapper's beef with Kendrick Lamar.
On Thursday, September 18, the 4x NBA champion sat down with Complex's "360 with Speedy Mormon" for an in-depth conversation. James spoke about several hot topics including his choice in today's Hip-Hop artists. Their discussion shifted to Drake after Mormon asked if the Lakers player still has love for Drizzy despite their strained relationship.
"Always,” he replied. “Always wish him the best. Obviously... different places right now, currently. He’s doing his thing, I’m doing mine. But it’s always love, for sure.”
LeBron James and Drake were practically best friends up until last summer. Their friendship began to suffer after LeBron supported Kendrick Lamar by appearing at "The Pop Out" in Los Angeles amid his grueling beef with Drake. The 38-year-old artist reacted by unfollowing James on social media and sneak-dissing him and fellow NBA star DeMar DeRozan on his "Fighting Irish" freestyle.
"The world fell in love with the gimmicks, even my brothers got tickets," Drake rapped on the track. "Seemed like they loved every minute, just know this s**t is personal to us, and it wasn't just business."
Drake proved he's still got issues with LeBron. During his tour stop earlier this year, The Boy switched up the lyrics to his hit "Nonstop" from “How I go from 6 to 23 like I'm LeBron?” to “How I go from 6 to 23 but not LeBron, man."
