Florida rapper POORSTACY has passed away following a medical emergency.

On Monday, December 1, TMZ reported that the 26-year-old artist, born Carlito Milfort, passed away over the weekend in Boca Raton, Fla. According to police, Milfort was transported from a hotel to a nearby hospital after he experienced a medical emergency, which has not been revealed as of this report. He had been staying at the hotel for 10 days along with a woman and a toddler. Neither of them needed medical attention. POORSTACY's passing was confirmed by the Palm Beach Medical Examiner's Office, but his cause of death has not been released.

POORSTACY was a rising star in the underground hip-hop and rock realms. He came up making a mixture of rap, punk rock, and emo rap records that captivated fans across multiple genres. He got his big break in 2019 after his song "Make Up" blew up on SoundCloud. He landed a record deal with Internet Money that same year and dropped his debut EP I Don't Care produced by Nick Mira.

The Florida native released his debut album The Breakfast Club in 2020. The album holds 13 tracks, including collaborations with Iann Dior and drummer Travis Barker. He reunited with Barker on another song called "Nothing Left." His biggest accomplishment was when his song "Darkest Night" appeared on the soundtrack for Bill & Ted Face the Music.

"Rest in peace you'll never be forgotten [broken heart emoji]," Travis Barker wrote on his Instagram Story.

Rest in peace, POORSTACY.
