6ix9ine will have to undergo mandatory drug and mental health treatment after he's released from prison.
According to a report Complex published on Monday, December 8, the "GUMMO" rapper, born Daniel Hernandez, was sentenced to three months in prison. Once he wraps up his bid, Hernandez will have to complete one year of supervised release. As part of his release, the New York native will be forced to participate in an outpatient drug treatment program along with a mental health course that will focus on anger management. He will report to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn on January 6, 2026.
U.S. District Judge Paul A. Engelmayer recently ruled on the New York-born rapper's sentence after he was found guilty of violating the terms of his five-year probation. He was reportedly caught violating his probation on several occasions in the past year. He pleaded guilty to using drugs and traveling to Las Vegas in November 2024. He was sentenced to 45 days in prison and an additional year of supervised release. A few months later, he was charged with possession of cocaine and MDMA after police raided his home in Palm Beach County, Fla. Then, in August, he reportedly assaulted a man inside a Florida mall.
6ix9ine isn't stressed about his three-month sentence. After he left the courthouse last week, the controversial rapper said that he would focus on losing weight while he's locked up. His plan to shed some pounds is to eat only a box of Oreo cookies a day.
