Welcome to March and Women's History Month! Let's talk Daisy Bates.
Mrs. Bates was a journalist, civil rights activist, publisher, President of the NAACP, and lecturer who played a major role in the integration of the Little Rock school Central High. No Bates was not a teacher but she worked tirelessly to get students enrolled and keep them protected on their way to school and from school. If Daisy Bates and her efforts are unfamiliar check out this indie film.
