A Modified Three Day Cleanse

If you've ever done a diet you've probably heard of a detox or cleanse to jump start. Green Juice Cleanse is pretty popular but no lie it's pretty hard! With the Holidays headed our way I decided to change my habits so I could easily avoid over indulging.

I decided to do a modified version because I like to chew my food. I've done just the juice and couldn't avoid temptation for 24hrs so 72hrs was out of the question. I bought the Green Detox and Kale Lemonade from a small Black owned business, We Click Wellness. The husband and wife team make and bottle the juices fresh to order.

The modified plan was 2 juices a day for 3 days. So I had a juice for breakfast and lunch. Dinner spinach salad with a vinaigrette dressing because no dairy is allowed during these 3 days and neither is meat but I workout a lot so I opted for fish. Of course I got hungry so I stocked up on lots of fruits and carrots so could snack on them. I also upped my water intake to a gallon and a half. As long as I felt full this felt easy.

Now if you're worried about having to barricade yourself in the bathroom for the three day period I can see your concern. I didn't have that issue, I went of course but it was pretty normal. You know how your digestive system works so If a weekend you don't have to work suits you better make it happen.

The juices tasted great! The Kale Lemonade was my favorite and I don't like kale. The mixture of apple and lemon probably balanced the taste.
