Dealing and Healing From A Narcissist

It's a buzz word as popular as mental health yet still as misunderstood, Narcissus. Of course most of us see the word and think of the story in Greek Mythology about the man so full of himself he couldn't be bothered by anybody else existence. That ladies and gentlemen is just the tip of the iceberg. It can take years to heal from the traumas of dealing with a narcissist. A narcissist is really good at making you the bad guy so you may have a little trouble seeing yourself as a player in their game. Maybe you even picked up a few of their habits.

There's a good chance a narcissist has experienced their own trauma and that's what led to this behavior. That's not a valid excuse to mistreat somebody. You may feel a little hopeless if you find yourself not being able to cut ties with this person because maybe their your parent or you're trying to "co-parent".
