Millennials make up 1/3 of the electoral for this years presidential election. In fact in 2012 it was the young vote that secured Former President Obama's presidency. Also in 2012, the youth vote was key in President Obama winning battleground states like Ohio, Florida, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Had Mitt Romney won those states, he would have won the entire election.
When Jeff Sessions vacated his seat to work for the current president Black Women showed up to the polls in historic numbers and voted in Doug Jones. Traditional Alabama would've chosen a Republican to take the seat but in 2017 Black voters made up 29 percent of the electorate in Alabama's special Senate election, according to exit polling.
