BILLY RAY CYRUS: Bringing Country to BET Awards
Billy Ray Cyrus may have spilled the beans about what he and Lil Nas X has planned for Sunday’s BET Awards.
He told TMZ that they are planning to ride into the awards on horseback. Assuming he meant that literally, that would be a pretty dope entrance.
Billy Ray also tipped his hat to Stevie Wonder, who he says helped inspire his “Old Town Road” lyrics.
BET AWARDS: Performers Added
A little last-minute star power was just added to this weekend’s BET Awards.
Meek Mill, Fantasia, DaBaby, Jeremih, Kirk Franklin, Erica Campbell, Kelly Price and Jonathan McReynolds will take the stage in Los Angeles on Sunday night. They join a list of previously announced performers that includes Cardi B, Migos, Lil Nas X, Lil Baby, H.E.R. and Lizzo.
Regina Hall hosts Sunday night’s festivities. Mary J. Blige will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award, Tyler Perry will get the Ultimate Icon Award and Nipsey Hussle will be posthumously honored with the Humanitarian Award.
