DRAKE: Jeered Off Los Angeles Stage
Sunday night in Los Angeles, Drake faced a harsh crowd that booed him off the stage.
Drake was the surprise guest at the 8th annual Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival hosted by Tyler, The Creator. He promised an unannounced act would close out the festival. The crowd hoped the mystery guest would be Frank Ocean.
Instead, they got Drake. After rapping a few hits, Drake asked (quote) “Do you want me to keep going?” The audience responded with a big “Noooooo!” So Drake asked a second time and the jeers grew louder.
Drake pleaded (quote) “I’m here for you tonight. If you want me to keep going, I will keep going.” The crowd became even more restless so Drake walked off the stage in disgust. And the Camp Flog Gnaw crowd that wanted Frank Ocean chanted “We want Frank! We want Frank!” (Live Music Blog)
KODAK BLACK: Sentencing This Week
Kodak Black finds out his fate this week.
Kodak Black has been behind bars in Miami’s Federal Detention Center since May, when he was arrested on federal firearms charges on his way to Rolling Loud. Kodak decided against a trial, and opted to plead guilty instead.
On Wednesday, he'll be sentenced for two counts, each of which carries a statutory minimum of 10 years. Due to a plea deal, the government has recommended that Kodak receive a sentence on the “low end of the guideline range,” but a judge will have the final say.
