LIL BABY: Explains Lack of Ink
You won't see Lil Baby showing off any new tattoos on his face, or anywhere else for that matter -- and that's a decision he made a long time ago.
He said he swore off getting inked early on, because he thought it would get in the way of his planned career. He says, “I never saw me being a rapper. A big-dog dope boy, maybe. Not even just a dope boy. That’s why I ain’t got no tattoos, because I always knew I was going to run my money up, and I was going to have to go sit in front of some people to do something with my money."
But he's not about to reverse course now. “I had to keep my appearance straight. I literally said, ‘When I sit down in front of these white folks, I don’t want to have no tattoos.’ In a way, it’s still that today. Because when I’m sitting in these meetings, I don’t have tattoos on my face. I know they’d have to think something if I’ve got tattoos on my face.”
And you know, even though Post Malone has them and Cindy Crawford's son just got a face tattoo... As a young black men still have to be 10 times more careful presenting ourselves.
POP SMOKE: Investigation Shifts Gears
Investigators are now digging deeper into the murder of Pop Smoke... And they're backing away from the initial theory that the he was the victim of a home invasion robbery.
LAPD Captain Jonathan Tippet says that they've reconsider their first story, being that some of the things you would think would be taken weren’t even really looked for. So that’s why they’re not really saying that it was a robbery or that he was the intended target.”
He also notes that Pop posted a video hours earlier that clearly showed the address where he was staying, which made him easier to find.
There Were Over 1300 Complaints About J-Lo & Shakira's Performance
Jennifer Lopez and Shakira proved to be too hot for TV for more than 1300 viewers -- who flooded the FCC with complaints about the Halftime Show earlier this month.
According to TMZ, one viewer wrote, that is was completely inappropriate and it mimicked orgies, stripping, and borderline pornography.
Another said the show was "beyond inappropriate," because of "Shakira laying on her side gyrating like sex" and J. Lo "bending over to expose her butt crack."
Considering that 103 million people watched the halftime performance, 1300 complaints doesn't seem so bad.
