#TrendingTopics - Call TI The TRAP PROFESSOR! - Alicia Keys Special On Race

T.I.: Trap Professor

You can start calling T.I. the trap professor from now on. Tip and Dr. Melva Williams will co-teach a new undergraduate class next semester at Clark Atlanta University on the Business of Trap Music.

According to Billboard, the class will “mesh the history of trap music with the economics behind its rise to becoming a staple in 21st-century hip-hop.”

Can you Imagine cramming for trap vocabulary and trap math before a big test.

Trap class is in session this fall.

ALICIA KEYS: Black Voices Matter

Alicia Keys will continue to raise her voice about important issues next week when she hosts a Nickelodeon special about race in America.

Keys will take the helm of Kids, Race and Unity: A Nick News Special, which premieres on June 29h at 7 p.m. Alicia says “Talking about race can be sensitive and uncomfortable; and sometimes we try to protect our children from racism they are already experiencing. But honestly, there is no way around this topic if we want to move forward in any kind of meaningful way."

Kids, Race and Unity: A Nick News Special will simulcast across Nickelodeon, TeenNick, and Nicktoons, and be available on Nickelodeon YouTube, Nick On Demand, the Nick App and the Nick Pluto TV channel following the premiere.

KODAK BLACK: Appeal Denied

Kodak Black was hoping to get a lighter sentence, but the court said naw.

Black argued that the judge in his weapons case had made an error in sentencing. He was convicted of lying on a gun-permit application, and because he's a convicted felon, that got him a 46-month bid. But Kodak's lawyers say that because he pleaded no contest to the previous charge and was never actually tried, he'd never actually been convicted of a felony.

Unfortunately for Kodak, a federal appeals court wasn't buying his argument and shot the appeal down. He's eligible for parole in 2022.
