Today's Donkey of The Day for August 21st goes to Madonna who gave a bizarre self-indulgent tribute To Aretha Franklin At VMAs last night.
The VMA's was full of huge performances from Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande + many more but it wasn't until after Travis Scott's performance towards the end of the night until we got a quote on quote tribute to Aretha Franklin who past away this week at the age of 76. Madonna who was supposed to give the tribute ended up giving a story about herself that involved the Queen of soul. She went on for over a minute telling this story about herself saying
"Aretha Louise Franklin changed the course of my life. I left Detroit when I was 18, $35 in my pocket. My dream was to make it as a professional dancer. After years of struggling and being broke, I decided to go to auditions for musical theater."
