The city of Chicago has threatened to sue Jussie Smollett to recover the $130,000 cost of investigating his attack claim, and now the actor's lawyer is hitting back with a threat of his own.
Mark Geragos sent a letter to the city saying Smollett will not be intimidated and will sue the city for making "false and defamatory" statements by suggesting he faked his attack. Geragos insists that the attack was real and reminded the city that all 16 felony charges were dropped. (TMZ)
In my opinion this whole story has been such a mess. Smollett just wants this whole thing to go away so that he can get back to his life and career. Do you feel he deserves that much?
