t didn’t take a psychic to see this one coming -- Meek Mill plans to take legal action against the Cosmopolitan hotel for discrimination and defamation. He's suing over a Memorial Day weekend party, where hotel staff barred him from entry, citing a fight that never happened, and threatened to have him arrested.
Meek’s lawyer,Joe Tacopina, says they’re seeking “heavy monetary damages” for “lying and humiliating Meek.” Tacopina alleges that the hotel, which includes multiple restaurants and performance spaces, including the Marquee Day Club, keeps a list of black rappers who are not allowed in.Yo Gotti and BlocBoy JB say they’ve had similar experience with other Vegas hotels.
Meanwhile, hotel staff is struggling to keep their stories straight. Footage from the night in question shows Meek being denied entry on the grounds of a prior incident. Which doesn’t jibe with the hotel’s official response, that Marquee was at capacity at the time. Another reason that seems fishy -- when told the club was full, Meek suggested he might still enjoy the property by getting a meal at an on-site restaurant, he was denied. (TMZ)
